'Dem Ruhri seine Kampagne' poster exhibition in a former mine

Murtfeldt Kunststoffe is taking part in the RUHR.2010 - European Capital of Culture campaign and is supporting the regional travelling exhibition 'Dem Ruhri seine Kampagne', which will primarily visit old former industrial plants in the Ruhr district between September 2008 and the end of 2010.
In addition, Murtfeldt even has its own theme, being presented under the heading 'The Engineering Feat of the Ruhr'.

The aim of the travelling exhibition is to depict the discreet charm of the area. The selection of themes of the displayed images includes touristic, cultural, and economic highlights and regional features.

The themes reflect the innovative yet down-to-earth approach of showcasing the changed structure of the region and all its faces with both pride and a touch of winking self-mockery: The Bottrop Tetraeder pyramid is presented as 'The Giza of the Ruhri', the Oberhausen Gasometer museum as 'The Louvre of the Ruhri', and Duisburg Port as 'The Ruhri's Gateway to the World'.
