Things move faster all the time - ever more rapid progress, changing markets, higher mobility, high-speed communications.

Even leaders of technology can't afford to rest on their laurels.

That's why for us at Murtfeldt 'dynamic' doesn't just apply to our on-going product development but to our entire company philosophy.

There is the quality of our services, for instance. Today more than ever, that's the standard by which any business is judged.

There, first and foremost, is the quality of our staff. After all, if it's about being pro-active, flexible and supremely fit for the job, it's not how automated we are but how responsive.

The customer's right to be right

At Murtfeldt, every one of our staff subscribes to this view. We all know full well that only a successful company can afford to pay decent wages and salaries - and who better to ensure that success than regular clients who feel well looked after?

Hi-tech facilities and near-perfect organization may only be auxiliaries. Nevertheless they contribute significantly to allowing us to concentrate on more important aspects, namely:

Standing still means going backwards. If you're not prepared for tomorrow, you've probably already missed today.

It's therefore just part of our day-to-day business to meet the latest quality demands, permanently improving and continuously upgrading both our products and applications - quite apart from extending both the spread and the depth of our range of products and services.

In this, we are assisted by our close collaboration with universities and research institutions but, more than anything, by our staff who see their company's future as their own.

That's why we no longer see ourselves purely as suppliers but as problem solvers, from individual consultations via custom designs right through to practical assistance with applications.

Our export markets, too, are becoming an ever more important part of our sales network, not least because they, too, help secure jobs.

As for environmental responsibility and protection, you'll usually find us well ahead of the legal standards of the day: We feel strongly that, in everything we do, we also have an obligation to pass something on to future generations.

Employees - good; stakeholders - better

Murtfeldt is a medium-sized, owner-managed, industrial company. As such, it's got to be successful to survive, and success comes only if everyone pulls in the same direction.

That's why we aim at creating workplaces and conditions in which our staff are happy to spend what after all amounts to almost a third of their lives. For that to happen, they need individual responsibility and empowerment. They also need acknowledgment and room for their own decision-making. Most of all, they need prospects. That's why we reward their personal commitment not only by paying performance-related wages and salaries but also by offering every conceivable form of further education and training to enable our 'workforce' to participate in shaping "their" company.

To offer our clients the extraordinary, we can demand nothing less than that from our team. Initiative, efficiency, creativity and imagination, however, are not attributes that grow on trees. They only develop in an atmosphere of mutual respect and appreciation.

That's why, within clearly defined, precisely delineated domains, our staff are offered every opportunity to flourish - free to meet the challenges they set themselves. The overall tone is marked by openness and trust; respect for the individual in surprising harmony with team spirit.

This empathy generates, practically of its own volition, the sort of effective cooperation where everyone identifies with the company's aims and targets.

To refine and implement these, every team member's input is encouraged: This continuous process of criticism, ideas and suggestions finds its ultimate expression in a concrete plan of annual targets.

Yet more transparency is also the aim of an on-going process of keeping our communication systems up to date. However effective word-of-mouth at Murtfeldt, we feel that being a hi-tech company commits us to being state-of-the-art in our information systems, too.
