Murtfeldt expects positive signs for the market from Motek

Murtfeldt Kunststoffe is showcasing its complete range of semi-finished technical and high-performance plastics at the Motek 2010 in Stuttgart - the international platform for all aspects of mechanical engineering and automation - in hall 1, stand 1327. Furthermore, using the example of screw manufacturing, the plastics manufacturer from Dortmund presents the versatile applications of the high-class plastics, which are individually processed into machined parts in accordance with customer drawings at Murtfeldt's in-house production halls.

Following the economic crisis in 2009, many customer investments and developments were postponed or completely discarded - innovations in which Murtfeldt had also collaborated - but now, however, all signs are clearly pointing to an upward trend once again at Murtfeldt.

"From Motek 2010, we are hoping for a further revival and upturn for machine construction and therefore also for our business", said the authorised representative and sales manager Andreas Balla, outlining the expectations of the Dortmund-based plastics manufacturer. "Traditionally, Motek is an extremely interesting trade fair at which many innovative companies exhibit and which, similarly, interesting visitors also attend. We hope that this trade fair will have further positive effects on the market."

The clear advantages of plastic screws:
Metal screws are the definite underdog

The further development and optimisation of the Original Material "S"® product family is the key focus of the Murtfeldt appearance. Through changes to the market-established and often copied Original Material "S"® Green, Murtfeldt is fortunately now able to offer customers highly interesting changes. Which, for example, are incorporated into Murtfeldt's extensive range of screws which covers rotating screws, inlet and outlet screws, spiral conveyors for transportation, compacting, or dosing bulk goods; conveyor screws for decollating, positioning, rotating or grouping bulk goods.

Customers that choose plastic screws are familiar with their key advantages over metal constructions: minimal operating noise, minor centrifugal forces due to a light operating weight, easy-to-clean design, anti-bacterial finish available on request... these are just some of the advantages compared to their metal counterparts. All thermoplastics in the Murtfeldt range can be processed. They are characterised by their abrasion resistance, as well as high impact strength.
