Local and europe-wide success: Murtfeldt Kunststoffe is the 1st "Authorised Economic Operator (AEO-F)“ in Dortmund

An "Authorized Economic Operator" has a special status: He is a very reliable and confidential partner and is able to demand on customs simplifications.

Murtfeldt Kunststoffe holds this status since 9th August 2011 including the special feature "F" which stands for safety and custom simplifications. The company based in Dortmund-Brackel reached the "AEO-F" with the help of a certification process in cooperation with the main customs office in Dortmund. "We are pleased having received this status due to an enormous easier and faster handling with customs clearance", commercial manager Andreas Balla said. "Furthermore we are proud of being the first certified AEO-F company in Dortmund."

Due to a progressively developing globalization and more sensible safety and security situation in the world, the World Customs Organization (WCO) created conditions with a "Framework of Standard to Secure and Faciliate Global Trade " (SAFE). This helps to achieve a modern and effective risk management in customs administrations.

The aim of this program is to protect the international supply chain reaching from the supplier to the end user. Meanwhile, there are negotiations with third party countries (particularly USA, China, Switzerland) what should lead to a worldwide acceptance of the AEO status.

The AEO certificate is indefinitely valid in each Member State.
