"S"® 1000 RB – Guaranteed not to slip
Code name "Rubber": That's the tongue-in-cheek name for this new material from Murtfeldt. In fact, the abbreviation RB stands for "rubber": The high amount of rubber in the material is what makes it special. Slip and slide? No thanks!
Instead, this additive ensures that the material has excellent values for all important mechanical stresses. In particular, the material has a high breaking elongation and very impressive abrasion behaviour.
It is exactly the right material for applications that require skid resistance. Moreover, this innovative and different material from Murtfeldt is optimally suited for use for support pads. For example, "S"® 1000 RB is used to support heavy construction equipment, providing vital skid resistance as well as the ability to endure the corresponding loads without problems. Unlike conventional support materials such as wood, "S" 1000 RB does not split, swell, or weather.

"S" 1000 RB is also ideal for use in applications subject to heavy, abrasive forces. Its elasticity means that the material lends itself to use as scraper blades for snow ploughs and for lining chutes, containers, and slides. The highly wearing stresses of such applications pose no problem for "S"® 1000 RB.
Murtfeldt will be presenting "S"® 1000 RB for the first time at Motek 2009. Do you want to find out more about the material? We will happily send you a sample.
