New way of saving energy with Original Material "S"®plus+ LF and LF ESD
These recently launched materials from Murtfeldt focus on saving energy - a characteristic that, crisis or no crisis, should not be ignored for companies wishing to operate economically in the long term. The advantage of Murtfeldt Original Material "S"®plus+ LF and Original Material "S"®plus+ LF ESD can be expressed with a simple formula: Reduction in drive power with no change in performance = an energy saving of up to 50%!
These new, modified ultra-high molecular polyethylenes represent an enormous potential to make savings in the sectors of mechanical and dynamic drive technology and automation engineering. In addition, both materials are approved by the FDA and thus meet strict EU guidelines for use in the food and beverage industry.
Through a large number of trials, Murtfeldt developers have managed to reduce the sliding friction coefficient of Original Material "S"®plus+ LF and Original Material "S"®plus+ LF ESD to around half of that of traditional polyethylene. If, for instance, these materials are used for a chain or belt guide, they can increase the service life of the machine in question at the same time as reducing the drive power, thanks to their lower frictional resistance. It's a textbook case of energy saving!
