With Murlubric FS ("food-safe"), a technical material that combines all of these properties with no problem at all is available on the market for the first time.
The blue plastic Murlubric FS has met the strict requirements of the FDA. A combination of a special, food-safe oil embedded in the polymer matrix and various additives enables constant long-term lubrication without the need to add other external lubricants.
This gives an extremely low sliding friction coefficient of 0.18 and a minimal wear value of 0.05 μm/km.
Thanks to the great machinability of this plastic, it is the ideal source material for the manufacturing of individual structural components for the food sector.
