If there is not sufficient space beneath the chain for a traditional tensioning system, Spann-Boy® and Spann-Boy® TS can be used. They are installed near to the chain and thus require considerably less space.
Design
Our Spann-Boy® and Spann-Boy® TS models are made from stainless steel. The focus is on achieving a long lifetime and reliability.
There are two different variants:With an arc segment profile or with a sprocket. In the case of Spann-Boy®, a compression spring provides a light or heavy tensioning pressure as required. Spann-Boy® TS has two pre-tensioned compression springs. They can be released separately and provide three different tensioning pressure settings. The bore holes in the housing make assembly easier and provide more scope for adjustment once the original tension distance has been used up.
